SongStudio: Gabriel Kahane—Composer in Residence
Tuesday, January 14, 2020

Resnick Education Wing
As “one of the finest, most searching songwriters of the day” (The New Yorker), Gabriel Kahane cites a host of influences in his compositional practice, from German lieder to contemporary pop music. The inventive composer joins Renée Fleming for a conversation about how the worlds of singer-songwriters and art-song composers intersect and inform one another. The event also features performances of Kahane’s works by SongStudio participants.
