Experience an immersive musical world in Camille’s Rainbow, an interactive performance for babies and toddlers that celebrates unbridled creative play. Explore a world of colors, meet its characters, and embark on an uplifting journey of discovery and transformation. Featuring artists and storytellers who invite audiences to co-create with them, these unique performances are co-commissioned by Carnegie Hall and Minnesota Opera.
This event is for babies and toddlers ages 0–2 and their caregivers; adults must be accompanied by a child aged 0–2 to attend this event. Registration is required of all attendees—including children—and is limited to a total of four (up to two children and two caregivers).

Jordi Savall returns with Hespèrion XXI performing Le Nuove Musiche: The Baroque Revolution in Europe, featuring early Baroque works by Frescobaldi, Kapsberger, de’ Cavalieri, Falconiero, and others. This concert will be heard live by listeners around the world as part of the Carnegie Hall Live broadcast and digital series. Produced by WQXR and Carnegie Hall, and co-hosted by WQXR’s Jeff Spurgeon and WNYC’s John Schaefer, the concert will be broadcast on WQXR 105.9 FM in New York and streamed online at wqxr.org and carnegiehall.org/wqxr.

In the second half of the concert, Yannick Nézet-Séguin joins the ensemble as pianist in Elgar’s Piano Quintet.

In her new concert, Patti LuPone: A Life in Notes, the three-time Tony Award winner performs an array of songs that are touchstones and reflections on her life growing up in America. The songs range from her youth during the burgeoning rock ‘n’ roll scene of the 1950s, to coming of age in the politically and socially turbulent ’60s, to eventually achieving success with both career and family.

Conductor HK Gruber leads Ensemble Modern in its first of two Carnegie Hall programs, presented as part of the citywide festival Fall of the Weimar Republic: Dancing on the Precipice with program to include Hindemith’s Kammermusik No. 1, Op. 24; Korngold’s Much Ado about Nothing Suite; Schoenberg’s Accompaniment to a Cinematographic Scene (arr. Johannes Schöllhorn); and Weill’s The Seven Deadly Sins featuring mezzo-soprano Wallis Giunta.Ensemble Modern returns the following evening, conducted by Stefan Asbury, for a performance that features two seminal works from Deb’s Composer’s Chair Tania León’s category-defying catalogue: Indígena and Rítmicas. Also on the program are Nancarrow’s Study Nos. 7, 6, and 12; Andile Khumalo’s Invisible Self; and the New York premiere of Christopher Trapani’s no window without a wall.

Antonio Sánchez—masterful drummer, bandleader, and orchestrator of all manner of jazz-rooted musical fusions—debuts a brand-new all-star quintet in this performance, featuring saxophone giants Joe Lovano and Chris Potter, and a rhythm section completed by pianist Joey Calderazzo and bassist Larry Grenadier. A four-time Grammy winner and three-time Modern Drummer Jazz Drummer of the Year, Sánchez has worked extensively with Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Gary Burton, and countless others. He also scored and recorded the drum-fueled original soundtrack for the 2014 Academy Award–winning Best Picture Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance).
