Commemorating its 30th year, Pink Martiniperforms an irresistible, postmodern amalgam of music from around the world, anchored by 20th-century pop and jazz. To celebrate this special anniversary, the self-described “little orchestra”—helmed by Thomas M. Lauderdale and lead singer China Forbes—welcomes extraordinary vocalists Storm Large, Ari Shapiro, Edna Vazquez, and Jimmie Herrod. Joining the festivities is special guest Shoshana Bean, a Grammy and two-time Tony nominee who is currently starring in Broadway’s Hell’s KitchenPlease note that due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Rita Moreno must regrettably cancel her previously announced appearance.

ANGÉLIQUE KIDJO

Global icon and five-time Grammy Award winner Angélique Kidjo returns to Carnegie Hall in celebration of her incomparable 40-year (and counting!) career with a concert that includes selections from her latest project, African Symphony, as well as performances with her band of songs that have defined her artistic legacy. Joining her for this special performance are Nile Rodgers, one of the most influential American guitarists, songwriters, and producers of the past 50 years; and Baaba Maal, a world-renowned, world-traveling Senegalese singer, guitarist, composer, and humanitarian. With arrangements by Derrick Hodge, known for his work with Robert Glasper and Common, the evening features hits from legends like Miriam Makeba, Fela Kuti, and more, plus special appearances by additional artists from across the African diaspora and beyond.

Singer-songwriter Michael Feinstein returns for the first of three concerts this season with “The Songs That Got Away,” a program featuring lost treasures by Porter, Berlin, Rodgers, Ellington, Gershwin, Styne, and others—as well as some of the enduring standards that replaced these classic composers’ overlooked gems.

Celebrated violinist Maxim Vengerov kicks off his three-year Perspectives series at Carnegie Hall with performances of Mozart’s complete works for violin and orchestra across two consecutive evenings with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. The first concert features three of Mozart’s five violin concertos as well as his Concertone for Two Violins (featuring Orpheus violinist Miho Saegusa) and the Adagio for Violin and Orchestra in E Major. On the following evening, Mr. Vengerov and the orchestra perform Mozart’s violin concertos nos. 2 and 5. Violist Lawrence Power, the 2020 Royal Philharmonic Society Instrumentalist of the Year, appears with Mr. Vengerov in the sublime Sinfonia concertante in E-flat Major to close the program.

Following his impressive 2023 Carnegie Hall debut, pianist Mao Fujita—silver medalist at the 2019 International Tchaikovsky Competition—returns in recital with selections from Akio Yashiro’s Twenty-Four Preludes, Scriabin’s Fantasy in B Minor, Op. 28, and works by Liszt, Mozart, and Beethoven.

MAXIM VENGEROV MASTER CLASS

In an extraordinary opportunity for six rising violinists, Maxim Vengerov leads this public master class as part of his 2024–2025 Perspectives series. With a full orchestra, master class participants perform Mozart’s violin concertos nos. 3 and 5, with each violinist taking on a different movement from the two masterpieces. Audiences can hear exceptionally talented musicians rise to the occasion in a live performance setting following private coaching sessions and rehearsal with Mr. Vengerov.

Pianist Mitsuko Uchida launches the final season of her three-year Perspectives series joined by musicians from the Marlboro Music Festival, where she has served in a vital leadership role for more than 20 years. This concert includes Robert Schumann’s Piano Quartet, Beethoven’s Piano Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 70, No. 2, and works by György Kurtág.

Last appearing at Carnegie Hall in March 2023 as Queen of Sheba in The English Concert’s performance of Handel’s Solomon, Cuban American soprano Elena Villalón returns for a recital joined by pianist Craig Terry, who, in 2020, won the Grammy Award for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album with Joyce DiDonato. As a part of the citywide festival celebrating the influence of Latin culture in the United States, Nuestros sonidos, Ms. Villalón and Mr. Terry present songs by Mexican composer María Grever, Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona, and others.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this season—including 40 years of concerts at Carnegie Hall—Orchestra of St. Luke’s appears for the first of five concerts this season. Louis Langrée—a conductor especially beloved for his 21-year tenure as music director of Mostly Mozart—makes his Carnegie Hall debut leading Valerie Coleman’s Fanfare for Uncommon Times, Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 2 in D Major with soloist Sterling Elliott, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.

QUETZAL AND LA SANTA CECILIA

Chief Conductor Kirill Petrenko and the Berliner Philharmoniker return for three consecutive concerts, bookended by two performances of Rachmaninoff’s Isle of the Dead, Dvořák’s Seventh Symphony, and Korngold’s Violin Concerto featuring the acclaimed Hilary Hahn as soloist on Sunday afternoon and Tuesday night. On Monday evening, the ensemble performs Bruckner’s monumental Symphony No. 5.

Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute presents a Well-Being Concert led by guitarist, vocalist, and composer Camila Meza. Hosted bilingually in Spanish and English, as part of the Hall’s Nuestros sonidos festival, this intimate event combines a powerful musical performance with guided elements of self-care and mindfulness. Meza’s influences range from boundary-redefining composers like Joni Mitchell and Björk to guitar greats like Wes Montgomery and Pat Metheny, and she has worked extensively with many of New York City’s most innovative jazz artists. Experience her artistry—including songs from her latest project, Portal—in a unique communal setting designed to uplift audiences long after the performance ends. Audience members can choose from a variety of casual and comfortable seating options, with mats, cushions, and chairs all available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Known as the “Queen of Reggaeton”, her music—which also blends salsa, bachata, hip-hop, and more—has been an essential soundtrack not only in nightclubs, but also in the headphones of many of today’s most popular artists. Her Carnegie Hall debut is presented as part of the citywide festival Nuestros sonidos: Celebrating Latin Culture in the US.

The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra returns for the first time since 2019 for two performances led by Klaus Mäkelä, the orchestra’s Chief Conductor Designate. The first program features Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2 with Lisa Batiashvili as well as the US premiere of a new work by Ellen Reid and Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2. The following evening includes Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht and Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 1—a work that the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra performed under Mahler’s own baton in its Dutch premiere.
