(For Immediate Release: February 12, 2025, NEW YORK)—Carnegie Hall today announced programming for its 2025–2026 season, including a wide variety of programs showcasing jazz, selections from Broadway and the American songbook, and more.

Anchoring Carnegie Hall’s “The Originals” series next season, the great artist and entertainer Harry Connick Jr. makes his highly anticipated Carnegie Hall headlining debut over two nights on Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23 in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. The concerts feature small-group and big-band numbers, and a brand-new orchestral piece to honor the 100th birthday of his late mother, Anita, who dreamed that he would one day perform at Carnegie Hall.

Additional highlights of upcoming “The Originals” series in Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage include:

• Singer, songwriter, and Broadway actress Shoshana Bean in her solo headlining debut on Monday, November 3. A two-time Grammy winner and two-time Tony Award nominee, Bean has earned critical acclaim for her recent roles in Hell’s Kitchen and Mr. Saturday Night; starred in Broadway’s Wicked and Waitress; and garnered success across mediums from chart-topping solo albums to sold-out concerts around the globe.
   

• Grammy and Emmy Award-nominated Cheyenne Jackson (Xanadu, Into the Woods, American Horror Story, 30 Rock) takes the stage for an unforgettable evening of jaw-dropping vocals and heartfelt humor on Monday, December 8. Audience members will enjoy a one-of-a-kind concert that features Broadway hits, pop anthems, timeless American Songbook classics, seasonal surprises, and more.
   

• On Monday, February 2, three-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone returns to Carnegie Hall for her sixth solo performance to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her acclaimed theatrical concert Matters of the Heart. LuPone takes the audience on an exploration of the crimes, affairs, and mysteries of the heart, featuring captivating performances of more than two dozen love songs that range from Broadway favorites to songs by contemporary songwriters.
   

• Broadway star Heather Headley returns on Thursday, May 7, for an evening that highlights moments from her celebrated onstage career which has included her debut in the original cast of The Lion King, her Tony Award-winning performance as the title character in Aida, and her subsequent return in the revival of The Color Purple.
   

Carnegie Hall continues to showcase an array of top-level artists and ensembles across the 2025–2026 season performing jazz, selections from Broadway and the American songbook, including:

• The New York Pops and Music Director Steven Reineke in six programs throughout the new season, kicking off in October with vocal powerhouses Hugh Panaro and Elizabeth Stanley performing selections from Broadway musicals inspired by iconic films, alongside beloved songs from movie adaptations of Broadway’s greatest hits. In November, Tony Award nominee Mandy Gonzalez joins the Pops for the New York premiere of a program celebrating the synergy between her incredible vocal talent and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s signature songwriting. Directed by Dick Scanlan with musical arrangements by Dan Lipton, the evening features stories, rhythms, and melodies from In the Heights; Hamilton; Encanto; and more. In December, The New York Pops’ much-anticipated holiday concerts return with two festive nights of classic carols, contemporary favorites, and other surprises with Broadway star Megan Hilty. In February, guest artists Maleah Joi Moon and Avery Wilson join the orchestra to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a soulful performance that showcases the best of R&B, timeless love songs and empowering anthems. In March, The New York Pops close out their season with special guests Max Clayton, Nova Payton, and Ephraim Sykes in a retrospective of America’s rich and unique musical heritage from Indigenous music to spirituals, hymns, ragtime, jazz, blues, Appalachian folk, rock ‘n’ roll, R&B, rap, and more. The February and March concerts with the Pops are part of Carnegie Hall’s citywide festival United in Sound: America at 250. • Singer-songwriter Michael Feinstein returns for three concerts celebrating classics from the Great American Songbook, including two programs with the Carnegie Hall Big Band, one of which explores Swing Era music as part of the Hall’s citywide festival United in Sound. (Nov 5, Feb. 25, Apr. 15 in Zankel Hall)
   

• The Secret Life of the American Musical—a star-studded tribute to the American musical based on Jack Viertel’s best-selling book—explores how Broadway hits get made, how they captivate audiences, and why we love them. Incorporating songs from Oklahoma!, Hairspray, Rent, Annie, Cabaret, and many more, this concert adaptation—a highlight of Carnegie Hall’s United in Sound: America at 250 festival—–features some of Broadway’s brightest stars including Betsy Wolfe and J. Harrison Ghee, and is directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Warren Carlyle, with musical direction by Emmy and Grammy Award-winner Rob Berman. (Mar. 2, Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage)
