Cancelled: Angélique Kidjo

Daughter of Independence
Saturday, March 14, 2020 8 PM Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
Few artists command the stage like four-time Grammy Award–winning singer Angélique Kidjo. In this performance, she celebrates the anniversary of her native Benin and other West African nations—not to mention the occasion of her 60th birthday. Brittany Howard of the Alabama Shakes, Senegalese singer and guitarist Baaba Maal, and Nigerian Afropop star Yemi Alade join the festivities. Kidjo’s exhilarating music, irresistible charisma, and some exciting surprises make this a concert you do not want to miss.
