Cancelled: Song of the Redwood-Tree: The Music of Sunny Knable

MSR Classics presents a concert of music by award-winning composer Sunny Knable in celebration of his album Song of the Redwood-Tree, a song-cycle on poems by Walt Whitman. Featured performers include bassoonist Scott Pool and pianist Natsuki Fukasawa who together commissioned both “The Busking Bassoonist” and “Song of the Redwood-Tree”, which will be sung by soprano Stefanie Izzo. The performance also includes new works being performed by Parhelion Trio, Trio Cabrini, and violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn with pianist Barbara Podgurski.
