Joshua Bell by Shervin Lainez
One of the world’s preeminent violinists, Joshua Bell reunites with his frequent trio partners—pianist Jeremy Denk and cellist Steven Isserlis—for an afternoon of music and conversation.
Moderated by Elliott Forrest, performances include excerpts from Bach’s Cello Suite No. 3 in C Major, BWV 1009; Ysaÿe’s Violin Sonata No. 2 in A Minor, Op. 27; Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto; Schubert’s Impromptu No. 2 in A-flat Major, D. 935; and Mendelssohn’s Impromptu No. 2 in A-flat Major, D. 935.
