Handel’s Rodelinda (concert performance)
Sunday, May 3, 2020
2 PM
Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
Handel’s opera Rodelinda was the hot ticket during London’s Royal Academy of Music 1725 season. The superstar singers of the day contributed to the opera’s fame, as they explored the emotional power and thrilling fireworks of its beautiful arias. Nearly three centuries later, with a cast headlined by Lucy Crowe and Iestyn Davies, history will repeat itself on a grand scale. A Handel opera on a Sunday afternoon is a special occasion you won’t want to miss. Be part of what The New York Times calls “a beloved ritual for many.”
Lucy Crowe is also performing February 19 and February 24.
Iestyn Davies is also performing October 19.
Jess Dandy is also performing February 24.
