Igor Levit by Felix Broede / Sony Classical
Experience the tremendous musical curiosity, sensitivity, and mammoth technical skill of pianist Igor Levit. He opens his recital with selections from Mendelssohn’s sparkling collection of Songs Without Words. Always exploring new ground, he then dives into a virtuoso arrangement by the fascinating Scottish composer-pianist Ronald Stevenson of a Mahler symphony movement. Levit is acclaimed for his Beethoven playing, and he concludes his program with the composer’s emotionally spellbinding and technically dazzling final two sonatas.
