Jaime Laredo by Christian Steiner, Pamela Frank by Nicolas Lieber
Bid farewell to the old year with beautiful music. The New York String Orchestra is joined by Pamela Frank for Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, a virtuoso showpiece that paved the way for the large-scale concertos of the Romantic era and beyond. There’s also Ellen Taaffee Zwilich’s loving exploration of string sonorities and Mendelssohn’s vibrant symphonic tribute to Scotland.
