CARNEGIE HALL PRESENTS

Cancelled: Hélène Grimaud, Piano

Thursday, March 11, 2021 8 PM Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
Hélène Grimaud by Mat Hennek / DG
From the moment she places her hands on the keyboard, it’s evident that Hélène Grimaud is “a reinventor of phrasings, a taker of chances,” wrote The New Yorker. This tremendously talented musician can “shake up conventional pianistic wisdom [and] offer surprises …” The intellectually inquisitive and technically masterful pianist returns to Carnegie Hall for an eagerly anticipated solo recital that features Schumann’s Kreisleriana, and works by Brahms and Valentin Silvestrov.

Program
