UN Chamber Music Society Concert for Village Health Works

Wednesday, November 17, 2021 8 PM Weill Recital Hall
Village Health Works presents a benefit concert with the UN Chamber Music Society. Working in Burundi, East Africa, VHW’s newest project is the Kigutu Hospital & Women’s Health Pavilion, a 150-bed teaching hospital designed to meet the growing needs of the region.

The performance pays tribute to women who helped shape classical music, and whose voices have been marginalized and silenced. The concert features musical works representing the artistic tapestry of human experience, in hopes of building bridges of cultural understanding and gender equality.
