HOPE RISING marks Manhattan Concert Productions’ first concert since the beginning of the pandemic. To celebrate, two National Festival Choruses, led respectively by guest conductors Christopher Maunu and Elizabeth Swanson, will each perform a set of six pieces themed around the power music has in the face of adversity. In addition, the concert will feature performances from select bands and orchestras from across the country. Selections by Percy Grainger, Leonard Bernstein, Florence Price and more.
