Bands and orchestras from across the country perform a varied program, from standards such as Copland’s Hoe-Down and Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances, to reigning contemporary stalwarts, like John Mackey’s Foundry and Roland Barrett’s Ghost Dances (Wounded Knee, 1890). Participating ensembles benefit from a private clinic session with guest clinicians Daniel Baldwin and Chad Nicholson, who will also attend the concert to give comments.
