Decoda by Caroline Bittencourt
Decoda always surprises. Alumni of the acclaimed Ensemble Connect, these musicians push against the boundaries of traditional concert conventions with wit, whimsy, and high-level virtuosity. Their programming displays tremendous versatility with repertoire that stretches from Rameau to cutting-edge music by composers of the day. This program shows them at their daring best, performing world premieres by Gilad Cohen and Michael Hersch, a New York premiere by Xiao Bao He, and exciting works by flutist Alice Jones and bassoonist Joy Guidry.
