Carnegie Hall Presents

The 16th Annual Notable Occasion

Wednesday, June 15, 2022 7 PM Zankel Hall
Samara Joy by Shervin Lainez.
Jazz singer Samara Joy gives a special private performance as part of Carnegie Hall’s 16th Annual Notable Occasion. Bronx-born Joy burst onto the New York jazz scene in 2019 when she won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, and her debut album led Downbeat to call her a “deeply emotive vocalist, with power that usually takes a lot of living to master.”

Made up of young music lovers, the Notables celebrate music through intimate discussions, concerts, cocktail parties, and more. Contributions from the Notables directly support the music education and social impact programs of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute.

The 16th Annual Notable Occasion is generously underwritten by Nicola and Beatrice Bulgari.

This exclusive evening is available to Notables members at the Supporter level ($41/month or $500+ annually) and above. Not a member? Join today!
