Carnegie Hall Presents

Berliner Philharmoniker

Thursday, November 10, 2022 8 PM Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
Kirill Petrenko by Chris Christodoulou
The Berliner Philharmoniker returns in bold fashion with Chief Conductor Kirill Petrenko—in his debut performances with the orchestra in New York—with Mahler’s experimental Symphony No. 7. This immense composition lends itself to numerous musical and thematic interpretations, and Petrenko “does more than take Mahler at his word … he can make seasoned Mahlerians even for a moment imagine that this is a first-time experience” (Gramophone).
