Making his Carnegie Hall debut to celebrate the Orchestra’s Centennial, Gustavo Gimeno conducts the Toronto Symphony Orchestra featuring Samy Moussa’s Symphony No. 2, commissioned by the TSO. The program continues with Lalo’s spirited Symphonie espagnole, performed by 20-year-old violinist María Dueñas. For a Valentine’s Day prelude, Gimeno concludes the evening with Prokofiev’s passionate Romeo and Juliet Suite No. 1.
