Carnegie Hall

The Naghash Ensemble combines the earthy spirituality of Armenian folk song, contemporary classic and post-minimalism music, and the energy of jazz and rock. Three female vocalists and Armenian instrumentalists on duduk, oud, dhol, and piano play new music by American-Armenian composer John Hodian based on sacred texts by the medieval Armenian mystic poet and priest, Mkrtich Naghash.
