The Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony and Riverwatch Symphonic Band join forces with the Brooklyn Wind Symphony for a performance that showcases works by classical greats Holst and Grainger, contemporary minds Jennifer Higdon and Kevin Puts, and young composers Minoo Dixon and Benjamin Horne, both alumni of AYWS. Joseph Alessi, principal trombonist of the New York Philharmonic, performs, and the AYWS presents the world premiere of Grimm Tales by award-winning composer Bruce Broughton.
