Performing on period instruments and inspired by the virtuosi that became Haydn’s own ensemble in Eszterháza, The Australian Haydn Ensemble makes its Weill Recital Hall debut with an evening of early classical music. The performance features Haydn’s beautiful Symphony No. 6, preceded by J.C. Bach’s dark and stormy Symphony in G minor and balanced by Haydn’s gentle Symphony No. 8 and Mozart’s warm, sunny Symphony No. 29 in A Major.
