Under the baton of Founder & Artistic Director Dionysis Grammenos, the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra makes its Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage debut. Opening with Anna Clyne’s captivating composition <<rewind<<, the program also features Bernstein’s beloved Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and Nikos Skalkottas’ Greek Dances, a groundbreaking approach to traditional Greek tunes through a symphonic lens. This concert follows the orchestra’s European performances, showcasing the virtuosity and passion of young Greek musicians.
