Carnegie Hall Citywide presents a free performance by Fabiola Méndez—a singer, Emmy Award–nominated composer, and virtuoso player of Puerto Rico’s 10-stringed cuatro. Named 2023’s "Latin Artist of the Year" by the Boston Music Awards, Méndez is Berklee College of Music’s first-ever graduate to study cuatro as a principal instrument. Anchored by her instrumental mastery and versatility, Méndez blends folk, Afro-Caribbean music, jazz, and original storytelling into a whole that is gaining attention nationwide.
