Carnegie Hall Citywide: Ensemble Connect

Sunday, February 9, 2025 4:30 PM Our Saviour's Atonement Lutheran Church
Ensemble Connect by Fadi Kheir
Called “the new face of classical music for New York” (The New York Times), Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect performs a vast range of works, from historic standouts to brand-new commissions. This free concert features the adventurous young musicians in a program emphasizing brilliant writing for wind instruments. It includes Berio’s playful and idiosyncratic Ricorrenze, which he composed for Pierre Boulez’s 60th birthday, and Beethoven’s enduringly popular Septet in E-flat Major, Op. 20, written for clarinet, horn, bassoon, violin, viola, cello, and bass.
