Grammy Award–winning multi-instrumentalist Nicholas Payton is a visionary artist who defies categorization. He is deeply connected to the traditions of Black American music and the rich musical heritage of his native New Orleans. As bold as it is boundless, his sound blends jazz, funk, soul, and more. With his signature ability to play trumpet and keyboards simultaneously, Payton creates music that is both innovative and deeply rooted in tradition. A prolific composer and bandleader, he has collaborated with legends from Common and Jill Scott to Dr. John and Allen Toussaint. Come hear a free performance by this groundbreaking musician.
