Emilio De Mercato makes his Weill Recital Hall debut performing Liszt’s “Après une lecture du Dante” on the 760th anniversary of the birth of the “Supreme Poet” Dante Alighieri and “Sonetto del Petrarca No. 104.” This transcendent diptych, closely relating to De Mercato’s Italian origins, is preceded by the treasured Kinderszenen by Schumann, and followed by Mussorgsky’s monumental Pictures at an Exhibition.
