Ballet Hispánico, the largest Latin cultural organization in the US, presents Gustavo Ramírez Sansano’s electrifying CARMEN.maquia during its 55th (emerald) anniversary season. Carmen, the titular character from Bizet’s 1875 opera, has become a timeless cultural icon, inspiring generations to attempt to capture her elusive and alluring nature. Sansano’s quintessential ballet invigorates this timeless tale with an unrelenting energy that leaves you breathless. Highly original and full of explosive movement, CARMEN.maquia is a bold reimagining of this tragic tale.

Carnegie Hall's Nuestros sonidos (Our Sounds) festival shines a light on the vibrant sounds, diverse traditions, and enormous influence of Latin culture in the US. From February through May 2025, Nuestros sonidos extends beyond the walls of Carnegie Hall to include more than 100 events hosted by over 50 cultural and academic partner organizations across New York City. Events presented range from concerts, exhibitions, workshops, and talks to dance, theater performances, film screenings, and more.

Desde febrero hasta mayo de 2025, Nuestros sonidos se extiende más allá de las paredes de Carnegie Hall para incluir más de 100 eventos organizados por más de 50 organizaciones culturales y académicas aliadas en toda la ciudad de Nueva York. Los eventos presentados abarcan desde conciertos, exhibiciones, talleres y charlas, hasta danza, presentaciones teatrales, proyecciones de películas y más.
