Jaemin Han by Shin-Joong Kim, Janice Carissa
One of the world’s next great cellists makes his debut in Carnegie Hall’s most intimate venue. Since becoming the youngest musician to win the Grand Prix at the George Enescu International Competition, Jaemin Han’s international rise to stardom has been swift. While simultaneously honing his craft at the world-renowned Kronberg Academy, Han has made debuts with leading orchestras and at top concert halls worldwide. In tonight’s recital, he performs cello sonatas by Debussy and Prokofiev; a lyrical short piece by Glazunov; and Franck’s beloved Violin Sonata, transcribed for cello by Delsart.
