New Zealand Symphony Orchestra

For performances in Auckland and Wellington, Marin Alsop and NZSO will be joined by secondary schools and youth choirs to perform a new version of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in te reo Māori. In addition, NZSO will perform four newly commissioned works by New Zealand composers to complement Beethoven’s great masterpiece. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of music, for and by the people of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
