Can I participate in the workshop if I live outside the New York City area?

We welcome educators from outside the New York City area to participate as long as they can attend all four days of the workshop.

If I cannot attend all four days of the workshop, can I still participate?

Due to the short length and intensive structure of the program, we cannot accept registration from participants who cannot attend all four days of the workshop.

Where should I stay for the Workshop?

Carnegie Hall has reserved room blocks at conference rates at the Washington Jefferson Hotel for the Summer Music Educators Workshop. Check out the conference rates for Session 1: Dare to Explore and Session 2: Dare to Create.

What is the full schedule of workshops?

A tentative list of dates, workshop topics, and guest faculty can be found on our program details page. This schedule will be updated regularly with new information.

I work with a youth ensemble on a regular basis, but am not certified in music education. May I register?

Absolutely! Our hope is for a mix of trained music educators who are in search of artistic rejuvenation, as well as performers and teaching artists in search of growth as educators. We encourage participation from choral educators who have found themselves teaching instrumental ensembles, as well as instrumental educators who have found themselves teaching choral ensembles. Similarly, we welcome registration from professional performers who have found second careers as teachers.

I have participated in the Music Educators Workshop in the past. Am I still eligible for this program?

While priority will be given to new participants, we will welcome returning teachers as space allows.
