NYO-USA Audition Excerpts

Please see below for a list of required excerpts by instrument for NYO-USA’s 2024 application. We have significantly revised the excerpt lists this year to be more inclusive of contemporary and non-European composers. This has delayed the date by which we will be able to share sheet music to approximately July 24, 2023. Thank you for your patience.

As always, if you are unfamiliar with any of the works, or with performing excerpts in general, we encourage you to listen to recordings of the pieces and bring the excerpts to your private instructors or ensemble leaders for their input.
