London Symphony Orchestra

Experience the London Symphony Orchestra’s long-awaited return to Carnegie Hall in back-to-back performances with brand-new Chief Conductor Sir Antonio Pappano. On the first night, they perform Gustav Mahler’s First Symphony, George Walker’s final sinfonia, and Bernstein’s Serenade (after Plato’s Symposium), a lyrical work for string orchestra, harp, and percussion that features violinist Janine Jansen as soloist. The second concert includes superstar pianist Yunchan Lim as soloist in Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, plus a rare performance of British composer William Walton’s invigorating Symphony No. 1.
