Riccardo Muti

Riccardo Muti conducts two of today’s most esteemed orchestras at Carnegie Hall, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s sole appearance of the 2024–2025 season—a program that includes Tchaikovsky’s formidable Fourth Symphony and music by two of the great Italian opera composers. Muti then leads the Vienna Philharmonic in three consecutive concerts that feature symphonies by Schubert, Bruckner, Mozart, and Dvořák, as well as works by Catalini and Stravinsky. Muti has guest conducted the Vienna Philharmonic in iconic performances since 1971, including the famous New Year’s Eve concerts, Salzburg Festival, and more.
