Carnegie Hall Presents

Friday Nights in Zankel Hall

Sō Percussion by Anja Schütz

Kick off three weekends with a one-night-only, one-of-a-kind performance in the contemporary Zankel Hall. Visionary cellist Alisa Weilerstein continues her multisensory, multi-year FRAGMENTS series, combining timeless solo cello suites by J. S. Bach with visual components and new works by top composers. The bold Danish String Quartet and Danish National Girls’ Choir give visceral power to 1,000 years of women-centered music alongside a premiere by David Lang. Plus, witness “the New York standard for percussion innovation” (The New Yorker) as the Grammy-winning Sō Percussion performs with interdisciplinary tap dance artist Michael J. Love.
