Cellist and Sphinx Competition 2019 Senior Division 1st Place Laureate Sterling Elliott joins Music Director Michael Repper and the NYYS Orchestra for a performance of Dvořák’s Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in B minor. The program also features the world premiere of The Sycamore and The Oak, by Tanner Porter, commissioned by First Music and composed in a collaboration with students from KIPP Academy Middle School. The concert concludes with Respighi’s Pines of Rome.
