The Lockport Township High School Wind Symphony (Illinois), under the direction of Brian Covey, returns to Carnegie Hall performing works by Michael Markowski, Percy Grainger, Aaron Perrine, and David Maslanka. Mareena Boosamra Ball conducts a festival chorus of more than 150 voices in Schubert’s Mass No. 2 in G Major, and composer/conductor Howard Helvey, in his Carnegie Hall debut, leads the chorus in several of his own compositions, all being performed at Carnegie Hall for the first time.
