Thursday, June 9, 2022 7:30 PM Weill Recital Hall
The MET Orchestra Chamber Ensemble by Jennifer Taylor
Selected members of The MET Orchestra perform in the intimate Weill Recital Hall in their final concert of the season. Hear chamber arrangements of selections from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, a Tchaikovsky sextet for strings, and Dohnányi’s final piece of chamber music. An unusual blend of woodwind, horn, piano, and strings, Dohnányi’s sextet is a superb piece not frequently performed—an ideal selection for this versatile ensemble that constantly evolves to suit the needs of each program.
