Jean Rondeau by Clement Vayssieres
After bringing this program to more than 30 venues across Europe, harpsichordist Jean Rondeau presents J. S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations—a timeless pinnacle of keyboard music—in the intimate and elegant Weill Recital Hall. Despite a broad reputation for rebellion, Rondeau approaches this material with an ear toward absolute authenticity. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience Bach’s fascinating variations performed on the instrument for which they were originally composed, and by a particularly thoughtful interpreter.
