Brooklyn Rider

Brooklyn Rider by Shervin Lainez
Brooklyn Rider is one of the most musically omnivorous quartets of our time, called “a string quartet of boundless imagination” (NPR), “one of the wonders of contemporary music” (Los Angeles Times), and “the future of chamber music” (Strings). From the works of essential composers like Beethoven and Shostakovich to pieces by contemporary composers, including Osvaldo Golijov, Reena Esmail, and Akshaya Avril Tucker (the latter contributing a New York premiere to this program), the quartet plays with intense passion and an uncompromised commitment to music making.
