Experience the Carnegie Hall debut of La Cetra Barockorchester Basel, an ensemble internationally renowned for the excitement and vitality it brings to historically informed performance. Directed by 2021 Handel Prize winner Andrea Marcon, Bewitched Love highlights the great mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená—a fellow Handel Prize winner—who, in her rare-but-celebrated appearances at the Hall, has performed with Yefim Bronfman, The Philadelphia Orchestra with Sir Simon Rattle, and more. Enjoy lively interpretations of music from Handel’s Alcina, with selections by Geminiani, Marcello, and Galuppi interspersed throughout the concert.
