Seiji Nakanishi, Piano

Saturday, April 12, 2025 8 PM Weill Recital Hall
Harpist Mai Fukui and pianist Seiji Nakanishi perform a program titled Dialogue. The first half of the concert features solo "monologues," expressing each musician's individual fantasies. The second half builds a collaborative "dialogue" between harp and piano, blending their fantasies into a resonant interaction. The performance concludes with a piece specially composed for harp and piano by Japanese composer Toshi Ichiyanagi, whose career ties strongly to the New York and contemporary Japanese music scenes.
