Carnegie Hall Presents

Yefim Bronfman, Piano

Wednesday, April 16, 2025 8 PM Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
Yefim Bronfman by Dario Acosta
Yefim Bronfman’s career at Carnegie Hall has been a story of constant amazement for nearly 50 years, and his solo recitals continue to stand out among his greatest highlights. Tonight’s performance begins with a spritely Mozart piano sonata, three of Debussy’s harmonically rich and exquisitely spacious Images, and Robert Schumann’s Arabeske in C Major, which soars “as if on gossamer wings” (Los Angeles Times) when performed by Bronfman. The program also includes Tchaikovsky’s rarely heard Piano Sonata in G Major. “In Bronfman’s superhuman hands, its symphonic scale and orchestral textures [are] highlighted with virtuosic flair,” said The New York Times of his stunning rendition on our stage in 2010.
