Carnegie Hall Presents
Carnegie Hall Citywide:
Migel Zenon, Saxophone
Saturday, May 3, 2025
5 PM
Harlem Stage Gatehouse
In this special co-presentation with Carnegie Hall Citywide, jazz luminaries Miguel Zenón and Luis Perdomo present sublime interpretations of the Latin American Songbook and of the bolero in particular. Drawing from their celebrated albums, El Arte Del Bolero, Volumes 1 and 2 (the latter earning the pair a Grammy in 2024), they honor the vastness and diversity of the Latin American Songbook. The evening concludes with a Harlem Stage–commissioned work, “Cuba Series,” by trumpeter and composer Kalí Rodríguez-Peña, performed by The New Cuban Masters. The work reflects on the last 65 years of Cuban history, culture, and society.
