Enjoy a quintessential Carnegie Hall experience in this globetrotting, four-concert series that brings top ensembles and soloists to our grandest stage. The Estonian Festival Orchestra performs its North American debut in celebration of Arvo Pärt, joined by the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir; soloists Midori, Hans Christian Aavik, and Nico Muhly; and more. The Cleveland Orchestra performs Mozart’s final symphony and Shostakovich’s monumental Symphony No. 11. Violinist Joshua Bell leads Academy of St. Martin in the Fields in works by Robert Schumann, Brahms, and others. Early-music icon Jordi Savall traverses five centuries and “a sea of music” with Hespèrion XXI, La Capella Reial de Catalunya, Tembembe Ensamble Continuo, and artists from numerous international traditions.
