Bassist Ha Young Jung is an active solo and chamber musician, captivating audiences and music critics alike with her dynamic and engaging performances. As a soloist, she has appeared with many prominent orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Southbank Sinfonia, and Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra. She has performed in venues such as Cadogan Hall, Edvard Grieg Museum, The Israeli Opera, Saint Petersburg Philharmonia, Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and Wigmore Hall. She was a guest artist in various music festivals, including the Bergen International Festival, Eilat Chamber Music Festival, Hardanger Music Festival, and Wimbledon International Music Festival.

Ha Young has won awards and recognitions from the Serge and Olga Koussevitzky Young Artist Awards, Serge Koussevitzky International Double Bass Competition, International Society of Bassists Double Bass Competition, and Solti Foundation.

Ha Young’s performances have been broadcast live on WQXR, BBC Radio 3, Israel’s Kol HaMusica, and Russia-K. As an orchestra musician, she has worked with the English National Opera, London Symphony Orchestra, and New York Philharmonic, performing in venues that include David Geffen Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Barbican Centre, and Carnegie Hall. As part of her fellowship with Ensemble Connect, Ha Young teaches at Maspeth High School in Queens.
