Ryan Dresen
Horn-player Ryan Dresen originally comes from the beautiful state of Montana. He recently earned a master’s degree from the Schwob School of Music at Georgia’s Columbus State University, where he studied with Dr. Anne-Marie Cherry. While living in the South, he won positions in the Columbus (Georgia) Symphony, and the Albany (Georgia) Symphony. Ryan is a founding member of The Callaway Chamber Players, which is on the faculty at Antioquia Festival de Música in Medellín, Colombia.
He completed his bachelor’s degree in horn performance at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. While he was enrolled, he won his first professional job, as assistant principal horn in the Spokane Symphony.
As a soloist, Ryan has appeared with the Spokane Symphony, Whitworth Symphony Orchestra, and Blue Morpho Orchestra. When he’s not playing the horn, he enjoys spending time outside, making delicious coffee, and travelling as much as possible. As part of his fellowship with Ensemble Connect, Ryan teaches at PS 200 Benson School in Brooklyn.
