Yasmina Spiegelberg

Clarinet

Yasmina Spiegelberg is an award-winning clarinetist and laureate of several international competitions and scholarships. She performs across the US and Europe, including at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. She has been a guest soloist with the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and the University of Southern California Symphony Orchestra, and has collaborated with Lior Shambadal, Stefan Asbury, and Franck Ollu. Her chamber music collaborations include Hila Plitmann, Peter Frankl, Roger Tapping, and Mark Steinberg.

Yasmina has performed at the International Ensemble Modern Academy and Yellow Barn, where she is also a clarinet and chamber music faculty member for its young artists program. She collaborates with composers Steve Reich, Kalevi Aho, and Liza Lim. Yasmina has been heard on live broadcast as a soloist on KUSC and KING-FM, and recorded an album of works for clarinet and orchestra. She holds degrees from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Norwegian Academy of Music, as well as an artist’s diploma from the University of Southern California, where she studied with Yehuda Gilad. As part of her fellowship with Ensemble Connect, Yasmina teaches at Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn.
